Construct a three-story dormitory (approximately 3,400 square meters), consisting of living quarters, lounge, storage space and laundry facilities. The dormitory building features non-combustible structural steel construction (beams, girders, and columns), concrete slab on metal decking, drilled pier foundation system tied together with concrete grade beams, standing seam metal roof supported by steel open-web joists, CMU and exterior finish and insulation system on steel stud system, and steel stud partitions. The building has HVAC system consisting of air handling units, chillers, and fan coil units. Site work includes: asphaltic concrete paving, landscaping and irrigation system, gazebo and improvements to utilities systems. Demolition of a two story dormitory (approximately 2,400 square meters), constructed in 1956, is also part of the project, including asbestos abatement. AVAILABILITY: This Solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on CD-Rom format only. EBS CD-ROM disks with plans and specs available on or about 28 May 99 at no charge per set. No individual sheets are available. EBS CD-ROM disks will be issued on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted. No phone requests accepted.
