Approximately 1,070,000 cubic yards of existing dredge spoil will be excavated from Lower Boulanger Island (river mile 821.), Upper Boulanger Island (river mile 821.5), and Pine Bend Island (river mile 823.5). Approximately 280,000 cubic yards of material will be removed from the channel dredge cuts between river 818 and 824. In accordance with the size standard requirements, bidders are advised that to be considered a small business concern a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredge with its own equipment owned by another small dredging concern.
