Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, supervision,
transportation and disposal necessary for the installation of
approximately 1300 linear feet of 6' high, cedar vertical board
fencing, 1700 linear feet of 4' high cedar vertical board fencing, and
330 linear feet of open rail (2 rail per post) cedar fencing. Remove
and dispose of approximately 850 linear feet of existing 6' stockage
fencing and 300 linear feet of open rail, split post fencing. Six foot
and four foot fencing shall be installed such that the top of each
picket is of the same height and level relative to the top of each
picket. Where deviations in the ground elevation may change, the picket
shall be cut/extended as required at the bottom of each picket. The
bottom of all pickets shall also be at the same height off the ground;
not to exceed one inch. Work is located at USCG Family Housing, Gouin
Village, Nantucket, Mass. (Nantucket County) SIC: 17991. Performance
period is sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of the Notice to
Proceed. PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BONDS REQUIRED IF BID IS OVER
$100,000. Performance Bond required if $25,000 and over. Estimated Cost

ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has a program to assist
minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquired short-term capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any prime
subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables
firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0
million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond
amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT
Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000. For
