The Naval Air Systems Command intends to modify contract N00019-96-C-0181 in order to procure 5 additional units for CVN 69,LPD 18, DDGs 93, 94, 95; five (5) VME retrofit kits for LPD17, DDGs 88, 89, 90 and 92 and six (6) Installation and Checkout Spare Kits upgrade packages. In addition, the Government intends to modify the contract to cut into production on the system previously procured ECP D&S-001. The contract will be awarded to Litton Data Systems, 29851 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills, CA 91376-6008. Litton Data Systems is the sole designer, developer and producer of the AN/UPX-24(V) Interrogator Set and is the only known source possessing the requisite experience, technical data, and technical expertise needed to meet Government requirements pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1).
