is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 99SQ308170 is
issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-11. The Standard Industrial Classification
(SIC) code is 3491. The small business size standard is 500 employees.
Simplified Acquisition Procedures apply. This acquisition is
unrestricted. Line Item 001: Eight (8) 10-inch high performance
Butterfly Valves (ANSI Class 150, Single Flange, Lugged Body, 316
Stainless Steel Body and Disk, 316 Stainless or 17-4SS Stainless Steel
Shaft, Single Piece RTFE Seats, including Handwheel Gear Operator),
Line Item 002: Two (2) 12-inch high performance Butterfly Valves (ANSI
Class 150, Single Flange, Lugged Body, 316 Stainless Steel Body and
Disk, 316 Stainless or 17-4SS Stainless Steel Shaft, Single Piece RFTE
Seats, including Handwheel Gear Operator), Line Item 003: Four (4)
6-inch 300 lb. Full Port Ball Valves (Flanged, 316 Stainless Steel
Body, Ball, and Stem; RTFE Seat, TFE Seal, including Handwheel Gear
Operator). All valves shall comply with all applicable parts of MSS,
API, and ANSI standards, including MSS-SP-67; MSS-SP-68; API 609, ANSI
B16.34, and MSS-SP-25. All items to be made in USA by domestic
manufacturer. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, and
transportation necessary to deliver the items to Bureau of Reclamation,
Hoover Dam Warehouse, Highway 93, Boulder City, NV 89005 within eight
(8) weeks after receipt of order. Deliveries will be accepted between
7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, from Monday through Thursday,
excluding Federal holidays. Acceptance shall be made at destination.
The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition:
52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial (Jun 97). Offerors must
include with their offer a completed copy of the provisions at FAR
52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commrcial Items
(Jan 97); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (May
97) with the following clause incorporated by addendum: FAR 52.247-34
F.O.B. Destination; and FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and
Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders --
Commercial Items with the following applicable FAR clauses for
paragraph (b): 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity, 52.222-35 Affirmative
Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.222-36
Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities; 52.222-37 Employment
Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; and
52.225-9 Buy American Act -- Trade Agreements Act -- Balance of
Payments Program. WBR 1452.225-82 Notice of Trade Agreements Act
Evaluations -- Bureau of Reclamation (Oct 98) is incorporated by
reference and applies to this acquisition. The Contractor shall extend
to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial
warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided such
warranty is available at no cost to the Government. The resulting
purchase order will be a firm fixed-price purchase order. All
responsible offerors shall submit quotes by fax to (702)293-8050 or by
mail to the Bureau of Reclamation, P.O. Box 61470, Attn: LC-3133,
Boulder City, NV 89006-1470. Oral quotes will not be accepted.
Quotations are due no later than 4:00 p.m. PST on 21 May, 1999. The
