HQ Electronic Systems Center intends to issue a sole source modification to the Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) Class 2/2H Terminal Full Rate Production II (FRP 2) Contract F19628-97-D-0016, awarded to Rockwell International Collins Avionics and Communication Division (CACD). The JTIDS is an advanced radio system that provides information distribution position location and identification capabilities in an integrated form for application to military operations. This contract modification will provide for approximately 40 additional Class 2/2H terminals and spares for the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Foreign Military Sales. The maximum number of terminals on contract F19628-97-D-0016 that can be ordered is two hundred and thirty (230), and 130 JTIDS terminals have been ordered to date. Delivery of terminals is eighteen (18) months after issuance of each delivery order or as otherwise specified in each individual delivery order. The sole source modification to the JTIDS indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) FRP II contract will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(C) (1) and will extend the ordering period for the JTIDS terminals from 30 September 99 to 30 September 01.
