60 -- INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL FIBER OPTIC AND CAT 5 UTP CABLING SOL DTRA01-99-P-0016 DUE 052199 POC Ms. Shirley Alexander, Contract Specialist, (703) 810-4789 or Dave Miller, Contracting Officer, (703)810-4796 This is an amendment to a synopsis that was transmitted to the Commerce Business Daily on 28 Apr 99 for installation of additional fiber optic and CAT 5 UTP cabling. This amendment will include the requirement for security clearances for all contractor employees performing work under this requirement. The contractor's employees performing work under this contract require unescorted entry into the user agency's facility, wherein special entry controls have been established to protect classified information. While generation and production of classified information is not required in the performance of the contract, knowledge and access to classified information cannot be precluded by escorting the contractor's employees. The contractor's employees performing work under this contract shall be U.S. citizens. Employees shall have been granted SECRET security clearances, based on favorably adjudicated National Agency Checks (NACs) by the Defense Security Service Operations Center, Columbus, OH. Before any contractor employee performs work in support of this contract at DTRA facilities, the contractor shall verify and submit proof of clearance (Visit Authorization Letter) to the DTRA Security Office (Attn: Visitor Control). Visit Authorization Letters (VALs) shall be typewritten and contain the information specified in paragraph 6-103 of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual. VALs may be tele-faxed to (703) 810-4093. The term of the visit request shall be for the period of contract performance.
