It is necessary for the Office of Justice Programs to utilize an organization who has knowledge and expertise in working with Indian Nation Governments and their juvenile justice and law enforcement systems. The AIDA has considerable knowledge in ways to assist Indian Nations and communities in developing culturally appropriate and effective ways of dealing with problems faced by Indian children, youth, families and their communities.
