U -- EDUCATION SUPPORT SERVICES FOR ARMY CONTINUING EDUCATION SYSTEM SOL DASW01-99-R-0039 POC Major Ed Roden, DSS-W, E-mail: rodenet@hqda.army.mil The Defense Supply Service-Washington (DSS-W) intends to acquire support services to assist Army Continuing Education System (ACES) professionals in the delivery of education services at sites throughout the world. Services may potentially be ordered for any location containing concentrations of Active or Reserve Army personnel. Service functions include Reception and Administration, Counseling Support, Facilities Administration, Automation and Technology, Test Examiner, Test Proctor, Multi-Use Learning Facility (MLF) Instruction, MLF Support, Counseling, and Educational Programming Services. The government currently projects ordering an estimated 430,000 hours of services at over 94 major locations throughout the United States, Korea, and certain Pacific Islands. Potentially, services could also be ordered for locations in Europe or other locations outside of the Continental U.S. during the life of the contract. The Government intends to make a single award utilizing loaded labor rates for a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. To emphasize teaming and subcontracting, the offerors should include an adequate subcontracting plan. Subcontracting plans that meet the solicitation criteria will be given additional evaluation value.
