E-MAIL: Sheela Lopez, lopez@pica.army.mil. The U.S. Government is seeking potential sources and production capability information for an Electronic Time Fuze for Mortars. This market survey is for informational purposes only, is at no cost to the Government, does not constitute an RFP and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The fuze must be compatible with 60mm, 81mm and 120mm ammunition. The fuze must meet the following performance requirements: function in both time and point detonating modes; have time set capability from 3.0 to 99.9 seconds in 0.1 second increments; meet safety requirements of Mil-Std-1316E; have both hand set, without tools, and inductive set capability; meet Mil-Std-331 requirements; have the capability of being set at night without external illumination; have unlimited set/reset capability without performance or safety degradation; and have a functioning reliability of 98% @ a 90% confidence level. Interested firms with experience in manufacturing electromechanical time and point detonating fuzes should provide, at no cost to the Government, a summary of their firm s capabilities, both design and production within fifteen (15) days of this publication, preferably by electronic mail (email). Respondents to this notice will not be notified as to the receipt or assessment of the information provided. This requirement is open to all sources.
