053199 POC Erin Strand, Contract Specialist, (760) 939-7309 The Naval
Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA,intends to procure
the design, manufacture, and test of an airborne dual Radio Frequency
(RF) transmitter on an other than full and open competition basis from
Aydin Telemetry, Newtown, PA. The requirement has a nominal 10,000-ohm
modulation input load and operates at a 4-watt maximum into a nominal
50-ohm output load on a specified frequency within the Ultra-High
Frequency (UHF) telemetry band(2200 to 2290 MHz). The transmitter
produces a Frequency-Modulated (FM) carrier when modulated with a 200
to 500 kilobit-per-second (kb/s) Non-Return-to-Zero-Level (NRZ-L)
digital signal that may include an amplitude-modulated event marker.
The environmental requirements are considered severe, as it is mounted
in the boattail section of the Patriot missile system. The overall
requirements will be stated in the Statement of Work (SOW) and drawing
package. This contract is anticipated to be Firm-Fixed-Price,
Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity for aperiod of performance of
3 years. The minimum order is 110 units and the maximum order is 330
units. Respondents, other than the above, should submit, at a minimum,
their qualifications and any other information considered pertinent to
the requirement to the contract specialist within 45 days after CBD
publication of synopsis. The solicitation will be issued on or about 31
May 99 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home
page at: http://www.nawcwpns.navy.mil/~contract/homepubl.htm. Some
portions of the RFQ/RFP are not available electronically. It is the
offer's responsibility to contact the Government Representative cited
in the RFQ/RFP (and listed below) in order to obtain paper copies of
