Comfort, CONTRACT SPECIALIST, 202-324-8803 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information contained in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ)# 900396. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-10. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for Small business-Small Purchase Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this acquisition is 8734, size standard $5 million. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to purchase the following items: 1 each of the VM700T Tektronix, 1 each of the option 1 S (Serial) Tektronix, 1 each of the Option 11 (PAL) Tektronix, 1 each of the Option (NTSC) Tektronix, and 1 each of the Option 40 Audio Tektronix. This equipment must be compatible and interchangable with the VM700A(Upgrade Unit) that the FBI currently owned. Delivery of the items shall be F.O.B. Destination, on or before July 2, 1999 to FBI, Quantico, Virginia 22135. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition.
