Additional services include document preparation;waste identification and packaging,waste sampling and chemical analysis;purchase of containers/overpacks and spill cleanup if requested waste must be disposed of in a country which is a signatory to basel convention. SP4420-99-R-0007 will be issued on or about 4 jun 99. Approximate closing date is 13 Jul 99. This solicitation will result in a requirements type contract with the possibility of multiple awards. The contract will have an 18 month base period and two 12-month option periods performance will be requested by issuance of written delivery orders against the basic contract qualifications;prospective contractors or subcontractors must be able to meet environmental laws and regulations, as well as any applicable regulations of the country of which the waste originates.transits or is disposed including any reguirements on waste manifesting and transfrontier shipment notification. international and european union regulations shall apply to the transboundary movement of wastes from one country to another. The contractor shall comply with the May 1989 basel convention on the control of transboundary movements of hazardous waste and their disposal. These standards apply not only to the country in which the waste is generated and disposed but also any transient countries through which the waste is transported including the United States of America.
