Contractor shall provide radiation therapy treatment services to VA beneficiaries at contractor's facility. Treatments will be performed by a certified technician or a radiation oncologist and may consist of one or more of the following: external beam photo irradiation, electron beam radiation, interstitial radiation or brachytherapy. Rates will be on a per treatment series basis. A treatment series is defined as a consult, a treatment plan, an appropriate number of radiation therapy treatments, and one or more follow-up examinations. Palliative treatments carried out simultaneously to more than one site will be regarded as a single treatment series. The estimated annual quantity of treatment series is 100.
