R -- CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES NHTC SOL NDR990042 DUE 062599 POC Contact Pamela Vega, Procurement Technician, (303)236-4400 The incumbent will provide construction inspection services for construction of the National Historic Trails Foundation, the City of Casper, and the Bureau of Land Management. The project will be a 23,000 square foot building that will be constructed in two phases. The incumbent shall provide coordination between the Construction Contractor and the Government and shall be experienced in all phases of building construction, shall be familiar with Government inspection procedures and required reports, and shall serve as the Government's on-site quality control expert monitoring the contractor's technical efforts and overall progress in accordance with the contract terms, conditions and specifications. He(she) will also be responsible for measuring work and pay items to determine progress payment amounts due, review all submittals, maintain official contract diaries, complete labor standards interviews, and identify safety violations in accordance with OSHA. The prospective inspector will be evaluated ontheir past experience inspecting building construction including; Documentation proving past experience in all phases of major building construction, materials testing and government inspection; Evidence of past experience inspecting Government projects; and Evidence of knowledge of OSHA requirements applicable to the construction of buildings.
