Coast Guard has a requirement for entry-level aviation maintenance
technician (AMT) and avionics technician (AVT) training instruction.
The Contractor will be required to develop a curricula and teach all
aspects of AMT/AVT training necessary to meet Coast Guard aviation
performance qualifications. The Contractor shall provide sufficient
classroom/laboratory space and all books, study guides, shop materials,
tools and instruments necessary to complete the training. The
Contractor shall also provide lodging and meals for all students during
each training class. The duration of each training class shall be no
more than twenty (20) weeks. The maximum size of each class will be
one-hundred fifty (150) students; the minimum class size will be twenty
(20) students. An Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type
contract with firm-fixed-price task orders is anticipated. The period
of performance consists of a base year and four (4) option years. It is
estimated that the Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued on or
about 4 June 1999, with proposals due 30 days after issuance of the
