SOURCES SOUGHT-NO solicitation exists. US ARMY 310TH MI BN, FT GEORGE G. MEADE, MD has a critical need for a Contract Instructor for Technical Counterintelligence Directorate (TCID). Candidate shall perform duties as primary/alternate instructor for computer classes presented by the TCID. These courses consist of the Computer Investigations Course for Special Agents (CICSA) and the advanced CICSA + course. -- Requirements: Candidate must have 5 years experience within the last 5 years in the field of Computer Networking and Network Security. BS in CS preferred but not required based on experience and training. Areas of expertise must include but are not limited to Network Components and Topologies, Hardware Protocols (ethernet, FDDI, ATM), Software Protocols (primarily TCP/IP but good working knowledge of IPX/SPX, NetBEUI/NetBios,). -- Knowledge of Computer/Network Security is required. Must be familiar with the culture, methodology, and personality traits of persons involved in Computer Crime. Requires knowledge of common "hacker tools" how they are employed and how to protect the PC/workstation/network against them. Prior attack/defend experience is preferred. -- Candidate must be comfortable in the position of instructor and able to hold the attention of the students and maintain a proper classroom environment conducive to learning. -- Must know the UNIX operating system (Solaris 2.x) -- Primary duties will include providing platform instruction of pre-existing training material and guiding students through practical hands-on exercises. Hardware setup (software installation and configuration of Win95, NT4.0 and Solaris2.x) on workstations is required. When not performing duties as primary instructor during course, will act as assistant instructor.
