Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to the subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to add specifications that were inadvertenly omitted from the original synopsis/RFQ. The purchase is for an Optical Spectrum Analyzer, Ando Model 6315B or equivalent. The optical spectrum analyzer must have the following specifications: 1) Wavelength range: 350nm -- 1750nm optical wavelength range; 2) Wavelength resolution: 0.05nm; 3) Measurement level range (input sensitivity/minimum detectable signal): 85 dBm at 1578 nm wavelength, 80 dBm at 935 nm wavelength, and 65 dBm at 532 nm wavelength; 4) Computer interface: GPIB IEEE 488 Items 3 and 4 are the specifications that were inadvertently omitted. Vendors quoting an equivalent model must provide information to show how the item quoted meets the specifications. The due date for receipt of offers is extended to 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 28, 1999. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on 04/07/99.
