NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a (1)Tektronix Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope, Model TDS 784D, Qty: 1 each; (2) 2M extended Memory; Model: Option 2M, Qty: 1 each; and (3) 500 MHz 10x Passive Probe, Model: Option 36 P6139, Qty: 4 each. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/KSC intends to purchase the item from Tektronix, Inc., P. O. Box 4600, Beaverton, Oregon 97077, (800) 682-1210. Tektronix is the only source that can provide the required items compatible with existing Tektronix test system configuration and accessory hardware currently in use. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 7 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 7 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
