This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). 9 each Rear Projection SMART Boards to include 9 each Wireless Keyboards, RPSB 1600 (58 1/4" / 148 cm diagonal). The electronic whiteboard shall provide: the capability to access and display computer-based data, act as a touch screen to control Windows or Macintosh applications and other multimedia materials from the board's surface, include the capability to write over the top of applications displayed on the whiteboard in electronic ink, include the capability for notes and images written on top of applications displayed on the whiteboard in electronic ink to be printed from a printer, e-mailed, posted to a network, or saved as files on a Windows or Macintosh interoperate with data saved in the same manner on a SmartBoard 1600 manufactured by Smart Technologies. The electronic whiteboard shall be rear projection with the projected image coming from behind the board. The electronic whiteboard shall be compatible and operate using a NEC 1020 projector. The electronic whiteboard shall be housed in a cabinet that is easily moved out and that will provide a location for a NEC 1020 projector, and include a locking mechanism. The electronic whiteboards shall work with a Windows 95 system. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-11. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 7379 and $18.0 respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery to NASA-Ames Research Center, Receiving Section, Building 255, Moffett Field, CA 94035 is required within 30 days ARO. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the item(s) described above may be mailed or faxed to the identified point of contact by the date/time specified and include, solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1. Addendum to FAR 52.212-1 is as follows: Compliance with Veterans' Employment Reporting Requirements (February 1999) By submission of itsoffer, the offeror represents that, if it is subject to the reporting requirements of 37 U.S.C. 4212(d) (i.e., the VETS-100 report required by Federal Acquisition Regulation clause 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era), it has submitted the most recent report required by 37 U.S.C. 4212(d). If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin. Addendum to FAR 52.212-5 is as follows: ARC 52.232-93 Submission of Invoices-Fixed Price (Feb 1998) and clause "Year 2000 Compliance (May 1998)" in accordance with PIC 98-8. The quoter shall provide standard product literature indicating that the product or products offered are Year 2000 Compliant. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing no later than May 13, 1999. It is the quoter's responsibility to confirm if the Government has received the faxed quotation. Selection and award will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 with the following evaluation factors: (1) technical acceptability, (2) past performance, and (3) price. Technical acceptability will be determined using information submitted by the quoter in sufficient detail to show that the product quoted meets the Government's requirements.
