Labriola (703) 695-6228, X2527 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation, M00027-99-Q-0002, for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; request for quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued and this notice is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. The Marine Corps has a requirement for the following Audio Books/Tapes to be sent to 49 USMC Recruiting Stations throughout the United States. Three copies of each are required for each Station. It is the government's intent to make one award for this acquisition. The titles/authors follow: Art of War, Sun Tzu; Band of Brothers, Ambrose; Buffalo Soldiers, Willard; Face of Battle, Keegan; Flights of Passage, Hynes; Fortunate Son, Puller; Gallipoli, Moorehead; It Doesn't Take a Hero, Schwarzkopf; Killer Angels, Shaara; Marine! Davis; On Strategy, Summers; Pegasus Bridge, Ambrose; Starship Troopers, Heinlein; We Were Soldiers Once and Young, Moore & Galloway. The following FAR provisions apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, plus any subsequent addenda. 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is found to be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered (Past Performance). 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. Offerors must include a completed copy of this provision with their quote. 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, plus any subsequent addenda. 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items.
