The U. S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, intends to award a multi-year labor hour contract to the MITRETEK Corporation for technical support of the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Joint Program Office (JPO) Operations Business unit. The contract will provide technical support services to FHWA in supporting the goals and objectives of the ITS JPO. The contract requires the contractor to provide technical support in all areas of ITS and includes such areas as systems engineering and support for the use of and conformance with the National ITS Architecture, specifications and standards; program planning and evaluation; acquisition and deployment support to new operational tests and deployments of ITS. The contractor will also perform special studies of key ITS issues in technical areas related to the execution of transportation operations and the ITS Program on an as needed basis.
