D7810@IBR8DM10.8MSO. POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT -- The Bureau of
Reclamation is seeking potential sources for hardware/software
maintenance and service (requirement indicated as Part 1). Potential
sources must possess the following expertise and be capable of
furnishing maintenance and/or service on the following equipment: 1.
MGI Solitaire 35mm film recorder; 2. Oxberry 35mm bulk load film back;
3. Image Director Imaging System to include: Pentium 200 Rip Station,
Pentium 100 Spooling Station, Hardware/Software Integration, Software
Upgrades as required, Support for Image Director Software including
upgrades, and Support for Novel Network Software; 4. Encad NovJet Pro
50 Large Format Color Plotter including Network Interface Support; and
5. Kodak XL7700 Dye Sublimation Color Printer, including all parts
except drum. A service contract, is required for the following
equipment (requirement indicated as Part 2): Four (4) Dual Pentium
Pro200 Graphic Workstations including: Motherboard, 324Mb RAM, 128 Bit
4Mb Graphic Accelerator, (2) 4.5 Gb SCSI Hard Drive, 2.1 Gb SCSI Hard
Drive, 3.5" Floppy Drive, 16 bit Sound Card, and 4x Internal SCSI
Yamaha CD Recorder, 8 Gb Segate SCSI Tape backup, SCSI Controller,
Windows NT 4.0, Software Support, and Network Interface Support; Two
(2) Dual Pentium Pro200 Video Editing Workstations including:
Motherboard, 128 Mb RAM, Fast Video Capture Card, 9 Gb SCSI Hard Drive,
3.5" Floppy Drive, 32 Bit Sound Card, 4x Internal Multi Session SCSI CD
Recorder, SCSI Controller, Software Support, and Network Interface
Support; and One (1) Pentium 133 Graphic Workstation including:
Motherboard, 128 Mb RAM, ATI ISA Graphic Card, 2.1 Gb Hard Drive, 4x
Internal CD Recorder, Software Support, and Network Interface Support.
Specific work requirements for the service and maintenance for
equipment under Part 1, and service work required for the equipment
under Part 2 will be available upon request in writing by fax
(303)445-6345 (White), to those responding to this announcement.
Services and maintenance will be performed at the Denver Federal
Center, Denver, CO, and requires one hour telephone support and four
hour on-site response. It is anticipated that a fixed-price one year
w/two option years contract will be written for this requirement. This
procurement is for a commercial service and is being conducted using
Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) prescribed at FAR 13.601. The
following clauses and provisions apply to this procurement: 52.212-1
Instructions to Offerors Commercial; 52.212-2 Evaluation; 52.212-3
Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (must be
returned with any offer); 52.212-4 Contract Terms and
Conditions-Commercial Items; and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions
Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items.
Interested sources that possess the above characteristics/can furnish
an services meeting the above specification requirements are encouraged
to submit substantiation to the Bureau of Reclamation. Responses should
include brochures or other illustrative material in sufficient detail
to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the requirements stated
above, and should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number (DUNS)
and Tax Identification Number (TIN), either by mail, fax, or
transmittal to the e-mail address listed below no later than 5/17/99.
This is a Sources Sought Notice only, and not a Request for
Quotation/Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation.
The Government will not pay for any materials furnished in response to
this synopsis. Submittals furnished will not be returned to the
sender. Firms should identify themselves as either small business, or
other than small business, in accordance with the size standard for
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 7379 which is $18m. This
notice is for market research purposes only, however, the information
gathered from this notice will be used to determine which preference
program will be used to process the acquisition (e.g., 8(a) set-aside
under the Small Business Administration's 8(a) program, total small
business set-aside, full and open competition). No preference program
determination will be made until the market research has been
