This contract modification will provide approximately 33 days of development services that will provide performance and feature enhancements to the BRS/Search Software utilized at the PTO. This modification is a sole source, combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as well as supplemental information provided herein. This non-competitive action will be processed in accordance with FAR 6.301-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). Dateware is the developer of BRS/Search and NetAnswer Software products and is the only known source that can provide the approximately 264 hours of development services required. This announcement constitutes the RFP and is the only solicitation that will be issued. A sole source proposal is being requested pursuant to this announcement and shall reference requisition number 193P9802202. This solicitation incorporates all of the applicable provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 97-10, as if stated in full text, as well as the terms and conditions of FAR 52.212-1. A firm fixed priced modification to the contract will be issued.
