The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR Part 13, intends to award a purchase order to Energywiz, Incorporated for services in support of the Energy Star Buildings Program. Services shall consist of establishing an operational framework to support the final design and product launch of the Energy Star Solution. The Energy Star Solution establishes standards for energy auditing and is intended to become the primary means of determining energy efficiency building upgrades. The contractor will solicit market input on the standards, establish an operational framework to support the final design and product launch, and secure promotional support. The period of performance will be through September 30, 1999. Energywiz, Incorporated developed the conceptual, technical and marketing approaches of the Energy Star Solution and, as such, is the only known source with the knowledge, expertise and facilities necessary to meet these requirements within the time period required.
