DSS-W "MAINTAINING COMPETITIVENESS IN A NEW CONTRACTING ENVIRONMENT" CONFERENCE AND EXPO DSS-W (Located within the Pentagon)Conference and Exposition with Networking Luncheon "Maintaining Competitiveness In A New Contracting Environment" Tuesday, June 1, 1999 The DSS-W Conference and Exposition with Networking Luncheon will take place at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Crystal City, VA on Tuesday, June 1, 1999. With the help of DSS-W representatives and local area government small business representatives the primary function of this important outreach program is to educate the small business community on maintaining competitiveness in the ever changing world of contracting and to provide insight on how knowing how to do this will contribute to small businesses success. Small, small disadvantaged, women-owned businesses, and Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority Institutions will have the opportunity to display their products and services as well as network with large businesses and DSS-W customers. Prime contractors are also encouraged to exhibit and attend this event so they can network and share their subcontracting opportunities with the small business community as well as sell their products to DSS-W. The major attractions on the agenda include the Networking Luncheon, with a keynote speaker to be announced. The days event's will also include provocative presentations by both private sector and government personnel. One-On-One Government Counseling tables will be set-up to provide the community with valuable information on the latest procurement opportunities available within their areas. DSS-W purchases for over 350 customers within the Pentagon. Your presence is critical to the success of this program, particularly during the hours of 7:45 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. as either an exhibitor or a conference attendee.
