Kaul, Contract Specialist, 301/713-0823 x 142 or via fax 301/713-0806 The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to provide/maintain a controlled environment area of at least 500sq. ft. to accommodate the storage of approximately 4,000 film canisters (size 5" x 9.5"), process yearly an estimated 75 rolls of aerial film, and produce approximately 26,000 prints and diapositives (up to 38" x38") and 10,000 electronic digital scans. The film format is 9.5 " x 250' rolls. Special projects may also be required, including (1) testing of film and print material and chemicals, (2)film exposure tests, and (3) time gamma series. The Government contemplates awarding a contract with a base period of performance of twelve (12) months, plus four (4) 12-month option periods. This contract is subject to the Service Contract Act and the place of performance is unknown. Wage determinations will be requested for Dayton, Ohio, and Gaithersburg, Maryland. The Contracting Officer will request wage determinations for additional localities if such requests are submitted by June 21, 1999. NOAA Solicitation No. 51-DGNC-9-90050 will be issued on or about June 12, 1999, and bids will be due on or about July 15, 1999.
