This is a Modification to make the following changes to the Commerce Business Daily issue of March 1, 1999 (I-SN302426). (0056) SYN# 0134 19990301 Z-0012.SOL): The proprietary item Square D Substation shall be used to match and mate (both physically and electrically) with the existing switchgear at Building P-070. All items will need to be coordinated with Square D for compatibility. The new substation and switchgear for Building P-030 shall consists of: Square D type HVL Load Current Interrupter Switches: 15KV;95KV Basic Impulse Level; 600 Amps continuous current; 600 AMPS Load Interrupting Current; 50,000 Amps Asymmetrical Momentary Current; 25,000 AMPS Short Time Current (2 seconds); Fuse/Rating -- MV155/100E; Integrated Switch and Fuse Short Circuit Rating: 50KA (Sym). 1500 KVA Liquid Filled Substation Transformer (Square D Class 7240): 1500/1680/1725/1932 KVA Rating; 13800 volts delta primary; 480Y/277 volts secondary; 3 phase, 60HZ, class OA/FA; General Purpose -- Outdoor enclosure with ANSI 61 Dawn Gray Finish; Basic Impulse Level 95 KV (primary), 30 KV (secondary); TAPS: +2 and -2 at 2-1/2%; Impedance = 5.75 MI; Temp Rise= 55/65 Degrees C; Fluid Type: RTEMP; Gallons: 460. Metal Enclosed Switchgear Sections: Square D Power Zone III Low Voltage Metal Enclosed Drawout Switchgear; Equipped with Square D type DS Low Voltage Power Circuit Breakers (Drawout Type) of the amperage ratings as required by the plans and specification. Square D Power Zone III Center Enclosure: NEMA 3R Pre-Assembled Exterior Housing for the entire swithgear sections consisting of interlocking galvanized wall and roof panels. New enclosure shall match existing and shall meet all specification requirements. Many other miscellaneous smaller items such as lightning arrestors, metering, Kirk Key interlocking requirements, ...etc will need to be coordinated with Square D. NOTWITHSTANDING any other provisions of the contract, no other product will be acceptable for use as a substation. This solicitation provide for a base bid andthree options. The solicitation will contain FAR clause 52.217-5, "Evaluation of Options". Option 1: Demolish building 103A, 104A, 105A, 159, 160 and 160A. Complete demolition of buildings and associated structures, including removal of all materials, special handling as required for asbestos removal, utility disconnection and capping, and finish grading with loam and seed. If Option 1 is exercised (and not option 2A,2B, or 2C) the contract completion date will be extended 105 additional calendar days. Option 2A,2B and 2C: Demolish buildings 103, 104 and 105. Complete demolition of buildings and associated structures including removal of all materials, special handling as required for asbestos removal, utility disconnection and capping, finish grading with loam and seed. If Option 2A, and/or 2B, and/or 2C is exercised (and not Option 1), the contract completion date will be extended a total of 150 calendar days. If Option 1 and Option 2A, and/or 2B, and/or 2C are exercised, the contract completion date will be extended a total of 195 calendar days. Option 3: Add 3.05 by 27.45 m of floor area to the building on four floors at west end of structure for a total addition of approximately 335 square meters.
