are sought to identify firms to provide state certified paramedic
personnel and ambulances for emergency response and patient transport
services required for Government beneficiaries and the general
population at Patrick AFB, Florida. The requirement is to provide full
emergency patient transport services at Patrick AFB, Florida and all
associated housing areas to include South Patrick Housing in Satellite
Beach, Florida. Emergency and transport services will be coordinated
via the Brevard County Emergency Management System using the Brevard
County 911 system. The contractor will have to serve as the primary
medical response unit(s) for all in-flight emergencies and related
Patrick AFB flightline emergencies. In addition, the contractor will
participate in 45th Space Wing and 45th Medical Group exercises. The
requirement is to furnish all labor, management, supervision, vehicles,
supplies, equipment, transportation, and reports. Services shall cover
the full range of paramedic and ambulance services provided in the
local community. The requirements shall be in strict accordance with
the professional standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations, Florida State Department of Health's
Division of Emergency Medical Services, and the Performance Work
Statement (does not currently exist). A firm fixed price contract with
a one-year base and four one-year options periods is contemplated. The
applicable SIC code and size standard is 4119/$5.0. Firms responding to
this synopsis should provide experience in the form of an outline of
previous projects for specific relevant work completed or currently
being performed including contract numbers, description of the work,
points of contact, phone numbers, professional qualifications and
specific experience of personnel identified to perform the work, and
any other pertinent information which would enable the government to
assess your firms capabilities. Firms must respond by 26 May 99 and
state whether they are Small Business (SB), Small Disadvantaged
Business (SDB), Woman-Owned Small Business, Historically Black College
or University or Minority Institution (HBCU/MI), an 8(a) firm, a
Native American firm, a HUBZone, or a large business. The government
reserves the right to set this acquisition aside for HUBZone firms,
8(a) firms, SBs, or HBCU/MIs based on the responses received. This
synopsis is planning purpose only and does not obligate the government
to pay for the information requested, issue a solicitation, or award
