Phila intends to acquire radiology services in support of the Naval Hospital at Twentynine Palms, CA. Requirement will be solicited as a commercial items acquisition IAW FAR part 12, using the special simplified acquisition procedures as set forth in FAR, part 13.5. Contractor will provide interpretation services at Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms on an as-needed basis to supplement the radiologist at NAVHOSP Twentynine Palms. The Naval Hospital anticipates that the services will be used approximately 16 weeks per year with 125 plain films sent out each week. Orders for services will be placed on a per week basis. Contractor will arrange for pick-up of film studies each Monday and Wednesday morning as needed during times of staff shortages with studies picked up on Monday to be returned on Wednesday and studies picked up on Wednesday to be returned the following Monday. Film studies may be picked up and returned in person, electronically, or by express mail. The resultant contract will provide for a base period of 12 months with four one year option periods. It is anticipated that contract services will start approximately 1 July 99. The solicitation will consider past performance as an evaluation factor. A firm fixed price commercial items type, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity purchase order is anticipated. The applicable SIC is 8011 with a size standard of 5M. All responsible sources may request the solicitation and submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISC Norfolk Det. Phila. The Government will not pay for information received.
