990 -- EMISSIONS TESTING SUBJECT: Emissions Testing DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy Technology Center (FETC), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Entropy Inc., Raleigh, NC to (1) The collection and analysis of one field blank per method, when applicable; and (2) The collection and analysis of all required reagent blanks and spikes. This purchase order is being issued to Entropy Inc. because they are the stack testing company that developed the protocols to be used in this field test sampling and analysis. Given the sensitivity of the materials to be cofired and the very small trace quantities that are attempting to be measured. Entropy Inc. Has the unique capabilities to perform testing at this level and also at a full-scale power plant site. This request is considered to be a sole source to Entropy Inc.
