the CBD on 5 March 1999 is amended as follows: The project solicits a
single design/build construction contract for the following co-located
facilities: (a) One-story, 12,513 square meter warehouse consisting of
six functional subareas: (1) high bay storage with a stack height of
7.5 meters; (2) administrative space; (3)container build-out area; (4)
box and crate shop; (5) shipping & receiving area; (6) medical and
dental equipment repair area. Permanent type construction, consisting
of high-bay and mid-bay warehouse space, insulated metal panel walls,
metal roofing, ventilation, heating, fire alarm and suppression system,
building security system and utilities. Supporting facilities include
fencing, access roads, parking, fiber optic cabling, utilities, loading
ramp, site lighting, and storm drainage; (b) One-story, 1,446 square
meter building for administration and data processing for the Fleet
Hospital Support Office. Permanent type construction with
exteriormasonry walls; fire alarm/suppression system, HVAC, lighting,
intrusion detection system (IDS), uninterruptable power system (UPS).
Supporting facilities include fiber optic cabling, utility connections,
paving, walks, curbs, fencing, exterior lighting, and landscaping; and
(c) (Fully designed) Option: Container Holding Yard and Vehicle Wash
Platform, 16,037 square meters of reinforced concrete, capable of
withstanding 9,075 kg rough-terrain forklift with 25,000 kg axle load.
Includes drainage, site lighting and access roads. The funding of the
option for Container Holding Yard and Vehicle Wash Platform is subject
to the availability of funds. Request for Technical Proposal will be
issued on or about 21 May 1999. The receipt date of technical proposal
is 22 June 1999 at 2:00 p.m. Price proposal will be requested after
completion of evaluation of technical proposals. Up to five offerors
within the competitive range who submitted technical proposals will be
asked to submit price proposal. All other informationremains
