The project base bid consists of dredging the Waterway on the Coast of Virginia at Metompkin Bay and Magothy Bay to a depth of 6 feet MLLW (NOS) with one foot of allowable overdepth, and an optional bid item to dredge Quinby Creek to depths of 8 feet and 9 feet with one foot of allowable overdepth. The work shall be performed by a hydraulic dredge and pipeline with all dredged material transported and placed in the designated Government-furnished overboard placement area for each respective dredging location. The Schedule I-Base Bid, Item 0001 includes all mobilization and demobilization, Item 0002 Metompkin Bay work involves dredging approximately 68,700 cubic yards of material including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion and Item 0003 Magothy Bay work involves dredging approximately 48,000 cubic yards of material including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion. The Schedule II-Optional Bid Item 0001 Quinby Creek work involves dredging approximately 71,000 cubic yards of material including allowable overdepth dredging and estimated accretion. Magnitude of the project is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Duration of the project is 120 calendar days. SIC Code 1629 applies. Solicitation documents ARE NOT available from the Norfolk District. CD-ROMs will be available on or about 7 June 1999. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
