The United States Coast Guard Research and Development Center, Groton, CT has a requirement for electrical support services at its Fire and Safety Test Detachment located in Mobile, AL. Services are to be provided on location at the F&STD (CG Base Mobile) and its test site on Little Sand Island in Mobile Bay. The Coast Guard will provide transportation to/from the USCG F&STD, Mobile to Little Sand Island for all electrical services required to be performed on Little Sand Island. The Coast Guard expects to award a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with provisions for placing fixed price task orders. Requirements are expected to be 2,000 hours annually for an estimated 10,000 hours for the entire five year period of performance. The contractor shall be required to respond to task orders within 48 hours of award. This acquisition is further identified as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The size standard is $7,000,000.00. The Standard Industrial Code is 1732. This requirement was previously soliciated under solicitation DTCG39-98-R-E00078 in March of 1998. The solicitation was cancelled on 23 April 1998 due to changes identified in the required level of effort. All offerors who submitted a proposal under DTCG39-98-R-E00078 will automatically receive a copy of this solicitation (DTCG39-99-R-E00184).
