E-MAIL: Mary E. McKaig, Mary.E.McKaig.1@gsfc.nasa.gov. NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for ADP Data Entry Services for the Information Systems Center (ISC), Code 580 at GSFC. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to acquire the services from Omitron Corp., Greenbelt, MD. Omitron has provided this service under a contract at GSFC that has ended. Omitron has developed formats and "coding" techniques for effective and efficient generation of the deliverables, along with posting on the Internet. This experience is crucial to the uninterrupted development and delivery of critical management tools for ISC branch and center management. The processes and methods for collecting, compiling, and generating these deliverables with the ISC management and within ISC management processes are currently established, therefore, continuation of the existing work is crucial with the intensity of personnel actions, meetings, support requests, presentations, etc., currently underway. Processes for Internet development and posting have been established with this company within ISC configuration management and web team processes, providing unique insight in dealing with critical public-access material. The contractor is proficient with the management tools utilized within the ISC for these tasks, has received training to ensure continued and accelerated proficiency in ISC-required Internet tools, and has the unique knowledge of the ISC's processes, requirement, controls, engineering center goals, and management structure. Continuation of activities with this established source is critical to the continued efficiency of the ISC. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities with respect to providing this support withthe knowledge base of the ISC. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 15 days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
