The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Tucson, AZ intends to negotiate a sole source agreement, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302, with GE Medical Systems, 373 Inverness Drive South, Englewood, CO 80112. This action will obtain GE's InHouse service support agreement to cover the following equipment: GE CT HiLight; GE Advantx AFM, single plane, DLX digital; GE Logiq 500 Ultrasound with probes; and GE Starcam gamma camera. The agreement will provide back up maintenance and repair support of the subject equipment to the VAMC Tucson's biomedical engineering staff to include training of one VA biomedical engineer; unlimited repair parts (except glassware) and labor during normal hours of coverage; telephone support; 2 hour on site response time; unlimited access to online support service; periodic planned maintenance service. The agreement is expected to be for a base year with 4 one-year options to extend. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, which may be faxed to (520) 629-1817, within 15 days after publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
