N -- TSRSP INSTALLATION SOL SP0410-97-C-0008 DUE 062599 POC LT Stephanie Brill, 804-279-4993 The Defense Supply Center Richmond intends to extend the University of Texas at Austin (UT) contract to continue to provide labor and materials to customize and install transportation routing and scheduling systems at two DLA Distribution Depots. The UT developed the unique and powerful algorithm to solve the vehicle routing problem, and has also implemented this algorithm at a couple of DLA sites. The sites which have implemented these algorithms have benefited tremendously from them and DLA now desires to implement them at two additional sites. Implementation of these highly specialized services by any other source would result in substantial duplication of non recoverable cost to the Government, and would potentially involve issues concerning proprietary rights.
