The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) plans to issue a solicitation to acquire services for the maintenance and operation of the integrated security system at the Western Currency Facility (WCF) located at 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, TX. The resultant contract will contain a base period and four one-year options. The contractor submitting a proposal for this requirement must establish a local office within a 50-mile radius from the WCF. The contractor should have serviced a minimum of two facilities having similar security devices and systems as the WCF (copies of the equipment/material list will be provided upon request). The two facilities serviced must have integrated two of these subsystems _ access control, intrusion detection and/or CCTV. The contractor must have been responsible for maintenance on the _integrated_ aspect of each facility_s integrated security system. The BEP anticipates that the solicitation will be ready on or about May 12, 1999.
