SPAWAR Systems Center, San Diego (SSC-SD) is conducting an Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76 Commercial Activities (CA) study on Physical Distribution and Warehouse functions at our Old Town and Point Loma Complexes. Physical Distribution functions include: receipt, inspection and delivery of incoming material/equipment, stowage of material and shipping of material/equipment through various means. Warehouse functions include storage of material/equipment and disposal of equipment deemed to be excess or beyond economical repair. Additional warehouse functions include inventory control, issuance of project material and care of material in storage and monthly reporting requirements. Prior to the release of the formal solicitation, SSC-SD would like to offer Industry the opportunity to submit White Papers outlining ideas or suggestions for the operation and/or improvements for operating these functions.
