WOMEN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS CONFERENCE The Department of Defense (DoD) is sponsoring a Woman-Owned Small Manufacturing Business (WOSMC) Conference being held June 16-17, 1999 at the Tampa Convention Center, Tampa, FL. The Conference and Trade Fair is intended to promote the small women-owned manufacturing business community and small women-owned research and development firms. All women-owned small business firms are encouraged to attend. Large and small firms interested in broadening your supplier base are also encouraged to attend. This event is designed to help women-owned manufacturing concerns participate in procurement opportunities provided by some of the nation's largest organizations. If you would like to do business or do more business with the federal, state, and local governments, as well as major corporations, either as a prime contractor or as a subcontractor then you should join us at the trade fair. This will be a large event, attracting 200 to 400 exhibitors from the southeastern United States are anticipated. Firms from other areas of the country are encouraged to attend. Sponsors include the Department of Defense, DoD Southeastern Small Business Council, University of South Florida Small Business Development Center, Defense Contract Management Command, US Special Operations Command, Honeywell, Primex, Raytheon, Boeing, Lucent Technologies and many more.
