S -- OPERATION OF A FOOD SERVICE FACILITY SOL USCS 99-5113 POC Pamela Kelley, 202-502-1339 The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts seeks a Contractor to operate a cafeteria at the E. Barrett Prettyman U.S. Courthouse in Washington, D.C., on a profit- and- loss basis. Contractor will provide breakfast and lunch service Monday through Friday except federal holidays in a building with approximately 500 employees. Additionally, on a daily basis approximately 200 additional individuals attend court proceedings or conduct other business. Service includes eat-in and carry-out options and may also include in-house catering for jurors, judges and special events. The public dining facility is located on the basement level seats 132, and is 2,045 square feet. The food preparation and storage areas are 3,346 square feet. For the first six months the contractor will be charged a nominal fee of $1.00 in lieu of rent. After the six months has expired, this amount will be reassessed depending on profits.
