The work shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and
materials to replace existing lighting with new metal halide
explosion-proof lighting in 13 ammunition storage igloos on McChord
AFB, WA. The contractor is responsible for accomplishing all items in
accordance with applicable drawings, specifications and provisions of
the contract. Any sundry, labor, materials, equipment and/or
appurtenances not specifically detailed or specified, but required to
complete the project, shall be provided as an integral part of scope of
work hereinafter specified. The magnitude of construction is between
$100,000 and $250,000. The work site is fenced and is a controlled
access area. The contractor will be escorted at all times while they
are in the compound (and the igloos). The on-site construction period
shall be limited to 60 cumulative work days. . In conformance with FAR
19-1300 this acquisition is being considered for a hubzone set-aside.
If your firm is hubzone certified and intends to propose on this
acquisition, please provide the following information to the
contracting officer not later than 10 days after the publication of
this notice: SBA certification of Hubzone eligibility; capability
statement for firm; and a positive statement that your firm intends to
propose on this acquisition. Based on response, the contracting
officer will make a determination if there is not a reasonable
expectation of adequate competition, the acquisition will be conducted
under full and open competition. The proposal due date is on or about
7 Jul 1999, 4:00 p.m. pacific local time. The applicable SIC code is
1731 with an annual average gross revenue of $7.0 million for the last
three (3) years. The solicitation will be available on the Electronic
Posting System (EPS) web site www.eps.gov on or about 3 Jun 1999.
