E-MAIL: Jerome G. Misch, jerry.misch@ssc.nasa.gov. NASA/SSC intends to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) with a base and two (2) options for ultra-high pressure y-pattern globe valves. The base consists of sixteen (16) 10,000 psi, y-pattern, extended body globe valves for Liquid Oxygen (LO2) and Liquid Hydrogen (LH2) service ranging in size from 1 inch to 10 inches and three (3) 15,000 psi, 3 inch, y-pattern globe valves for Gaseous Hydrogen (GH2) and Gaseous Nitrogen (GN2) service. The glove valves shall be position controlled, hydraulically actuated and balanced as specified on the individual data sheets to be included in the specification. The options, totaling seven (7) valves in various sizes of 10,000 psi, y-pattern, extended body, position controlled, hydraulically actuated globe valves ranging from 1 inch to 10 inches for Liquid Hydrogen (LH2) and Liquid Oxygen (LO2) service. The globe valves shall be vacuum jacketed or unjacketed and balanced or unbalanced as specified on the induvidual data sheets included in the specification. A firm-fixed price commercial item contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5 and the NASA MidRange Procurement Procedures. It shall be the responsibility of each offeror to monitor NAIS for solicitation releases as the solicitation will be released as soon as practicable whether prior or subsequent to June 2, 1999.
