The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a requirement to provide OPPTS/OPP/EFED with support primarily in the area of review and evaluation of available data pertaining to the chemistry and fate of pesticides in the environment (including the evaluation of environmental monitoring data); secondarily, the assessment of pesticide fate and transport in the environment and occasional support to EPA in the research of pesticide fate and transport science policy issues and the development of science policy options for evaluation and consideration by EPA. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 8748. The anticipated contract will be a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type with a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. The basic quantity per period will be 18,720 hours with an option to increase the quantity 8,320 hours per period. The Request for Proposals (RFP) should be posted on Internet on or around July 15, 1999. Proposals shall be due approximately thirty (30) days after the RFP issuance date.
