The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire administrative telephone services for Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Pensacola, FL. The services shall be performed at the Base Communications Office (BCO) of the NCTS Pensacola, FL. This acquisition shall provide for services, which include: customer services trouble administration, telecommunications requirements support, operator and directory services, and assistance and instruction; providing planning/engineering support services for the telecommunications infrastructure; administer, operate and coordinate maintenance of the telecommunications infrastructure; provide contingency support for hurricanes and scheduled power outages; and provide business office services. The U.S. Navy has determined that this requirement is a commercial activity as defined by OMB Circular A-76. A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated and will be solicited using commercial item practices in accor dance with FAR Part 12. The resultant solicitation is part of a Government cost comparison to determine whether accomplishing the specified work under contract or by Government performance is more economical. If Government performance is determined to be more economical, this solicitation will cancelled and no contract will be awarded. The period of performance is for a 3-month base period and will contain provisions for four, twelve-month option periods. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification code is 4813 and the size standard is 1,500 employees.
