Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates awarding
a contract for the cleaning and decontamination of a Chemical Toxicant
Laboratory (CTL) located in Chamblee, GA that is contaminated with
polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDD) and polychlorinated
dibenzofurans (PCDF) waste. The contractor shall be required to clean
and decontaminate the CTL to a condition that is suitable for use as a
non-routine laboratory area, incinerate the accumulated and resulting
PCDD and PCDF contaminated waste at an approved hazardous waste
disposal facility, and to establish reoccupancy surface levels of PCDDs
and PCDFs of 1 ng/m2 of surface 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin
(2378-TCDD) Toxic Equivalents (TEQs) and an additional reoccupancy
target level of 10 pg/m3 of air. The anticipated performance period is
six months. The solicitation will be issued as a total small business
set aside under Standard Industrial Classification 8744 which has a
size standard of 500 employees. Firms requesting a copy of the
solicitation must state in their request letter that they are eligible
to propose as a small business under the SIC Code 8744. The date
specified for receipt of offers will be approximately 30 days after the
RFP issue date. Requests for the RFP must specify the RFP No.
