SECOND ASSOCIATION OF OLD CROWS UAV/UCAV PAYLOADS CONFERENCE The Association of Old Crows will present its second UAV/UCAV Payloads Conference on June 8-9, 1999, at the US Army Research Laboratory at Adelphi, MD. MG John Thomas, Commander, US Army Intelligence Center at Ft Huachuca, will chair the conference. LTG Randall L. Rigby, Jr., Deputy Commander, US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) will give the keynote address. A senior staff member will present the congressional perspective. The overall theme of the conference will be "UAV/UCAV Payloads -- 2000-2020". The classification of the conference will be SECRET/US Only. UAVs and UCAVs are emerging as major ISR and weapon systems of the future. The conference is being presented as a forum for government and industry to exchange information on requirements, on-going initiatives and available technologies. There will be five Sessions. The "Operations/Exercises" Session will include presentations on Army UAV Requirements/Status; an Army UAV Program Update; the Department of the Army Perspective on UAVs; the UAV Tactical Control System/Recent Demonstrations; Predator Operations/Connectivity; Oversight and Policy on ISR Systems and Pioneer Successes/VTOL Transition. The "Payload Requirements" Session will include papers on the Vigilante VTOL UAV System/Payloads; a Navy VTOL TUAV Payloads Update; SIGINT Payloads; the Airborne Communications Node (ACN); Airborne Targeting Cross-Cueing; Airborne Video Surveillance Program. The "Technologies" Session will focus on the UAV Battlelab EGRETT T-RECS Demonstration; USAF UAV Battlelab Initiatives; On-Board Processors; IR Zoom Laser Identification (IZLID); Passive Air Surveillance Augmentation (PASA) and Extended Air Surveillance. The "Testing and Demonstrations" Session will address the COMINT Cueing Payload Demonstration; the Multifunction SIGINT Payload Demonstration; the UAV Chemical Sensor Test and Demonstration; the role of the UAV in the All-Service Combat Identification Exercise Team (ASCIET); UAV Datalinks; the Advanced EO/IR Payload Test on the Hunter UAV; Multiple Air Launched Decoy; and Oversight on ISR Testing. The final Session, "Future Developments" will look at the Cooperative Aggregate Mission Management Systems (CAMMS); the Joint Precision Strike System-A concept for the 21st Century; Low Cost Autonomous Attack Submunition/Small Smart Bombs; UCAV Radar/Automatic Target Cueing and NBC Payloads.
