The United States Postal Service intends to award a cost reimbursable design/build contract to design and construct a new 464,504 gross square foot Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC); 15,120 gross square foot separate storage building; on a 89.2 acre tract of land, located in Greensboro, NC. The gross square footage of the project will include administrative office areas, associated parking and maneuvering areas, Material handling: loose mail & bulk mail system, and coordination of a Tray Management System (TMS) into the building by separate contract as part of the scope of work. All areas described are approximate; exact areas will be denoted on plans and specifications to be issued with the request for proposal. Scope of work of the facilities described above based upon preliminary plans, standards, specifications and criteria provided by USPS. The estimated cost range is between $42,000,000 and $51,000,000. Completion time for the entire project is within 540 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice to Proceed.
