(TtNUS) is interested in compiling a list of SBs/SDBs with the capability to perform hazardous waste remediation construction for two project types. Potential locations of the projects are within the mid-Atlantic area (PA, DE, MD and VA). Project A is to consntruct a groundwater extraction/treatment system, to include site preparation, extraction and observation wells, a treatment plant building, groundwater conveyance piping, and a spray irrigation discharge system for treated effluent. The estimated capital cost of the groundwater extraction/treatment system is between $2,000,000 and $4,000,000. Project B is to construct a landfill cap to include site preparation, waste excavation and consolidation, and a 5-acre multi-layer landfill cap. The estimated capital cost of the landfill cap is between $3,000,000 and $5,000,000. Qualified and interested firms are invited to submit a qualification statement giving evidence of financial stability and bonding capacity; and evidence of satisfactory completion of three to five remedial projects of similar size, scope, and complexity of those projects described above. Qualification statements relative to experience in the construction of groundwater extraction and treatment systems should be marked Project A. Qualification statements relative to experience in the construction of landfill caps should be marked Project B.
