E-MAIL: Jeanne V. Moschetti, jmoschet@pop100.gsfc.nasa.gov. NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for one lot consisting of two items: 1. Electric field receiver for GEODESIC Rocket. To fabricate 11 pre-amps to be included in the electric field spherical sensors to be attached to the booms provided by Weitzmann Consulting,Inc. This includes 9 pre-amps for eight 50mm diameter spheres (+one spare) and two pre-amps for two 2.5 inch diameter spheres. 2. AGC instrument for the GEODESIC ROCKET. This includes in the receiver AGC electronics for 4 of the AC = coupled channels that will control the gain of the analog signals with 12 gain steps, each corresponding to an increased factor of two in gain. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The DPAS Rating for this procurment is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ is 5/14/99 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 6/3/99. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
